LE RETOUR is an artist's book, Roxane Cassehgari's first photographic project, born following her rediscovery of Iran after 20 years of absence.

At the border between a personal diary and a photographic journal, the book deals with the connection to a distant home and bears witness to a feeling shared by diasporas around the world, this moment of return, when one seeks to reconnect with a heritage.

Roxane Cassehgari is a photographer and artist, born in France to an Iranian father and a Colombian mother. Alongside her artistic practice, she is a human rights lawyer and researcher. While law and research allow her to formulate questions about the world, photography becomes for her a space of freedom, a more intuitive realm, where she can explore what words cannot capture.
